Erin O'Toole

Hon. Conference and Dissemination Officer

Erin is a graduate from Anglia Ruskin University (Writtle) where she studied BSc (Hons) Equine Performance and Business Management.

She initially completed a social media consultancy project for the British Horse Foundation before joining the social media team. In her ongoing role, she is contributing to conference operations and dissemination with the education content creation team.

While studying she completed an internship at Saracen Horse Feeds which confirmed her passion for equine nutrition. Following her internship, she completed her undergraduate dissertation with support from Saracen Horse Feeds on “Trends and Variability in UK hay and haylage: a multi-year dataset analysis”, which was presented at the 15th Alltech Hartpury student conference. She is currently completing a level 5 certificate in Equine Nutrition, before continuing her post graduate studies.

Erin’s passion for animal health and welfare began at a young age having grown up around horses. Volunteering at her local riding school for many years before beginning her career as a groom at a livery yard, she saw the impact horses can have on different people. Her areas of interest are in equine nutrition, forage analysis, grassland management, marketing but are not limited to these areas.
