Dr. Russell MacKechnie-Guire

Russell MacKechnie-Guire holds a PhD in Equine Biomechanics from the Royal Veterinary College and is Associate Professor in Equine Biomechanics at Hartpury University. Founder of Centaur Biomechanics, he researches horsesaddle-rider interaction, spinal kinematics, rider asymmetry and rehabilitation.

Russell advises Team GBR’s World Class programme and Scientific Advisory Group, and contributes to international research and equestrian welfare initiatives. A BHSI coach and Pilates instructor, he also competes in dressage and show jumping.
