Try A Horse
Buying a horse is one of the most important decisions we make in this sport at any level — yet the process remains remarkably unregulated.
Thousands of horses are advertised online, often with limited information beyond photographs, videos and a description. Buyers travel for hours and horses are repeatedly tried by strangers, relying on guesswork to find ‘the one’.
Try a Horse is designed to change that.
It puts professional advice at the beginning of the buying journey, rather than at the end. Our nationwide network of accredited equestrian professionals independently assess horses for suitability before the buyer travels — providing experienced eyes, local knowledge and an objective perspective, free from the emotion and expectation of the purchaser.
This is not another sales platform. We don't sell horses. We don't replace the buyer, the trainer or the vet. We have introduced an layer of due diligence.
The result is fewer unsuitable journeys, fewer unnecessary trials, better-informed decisions and ultimately, better partnerships between horses and riders.
For an industry built on horsemanship, welfare and expertise, we believe the way we buy horses should reflect those same values.
Try a Horse is changing how we find horses responsibly.
